Chlorine dioxide characteristics
Chlorine dioxide is a yellow-red gas (low concentration yellow-green) at normal temperature and pressure, which is similar to chlorine in appearance and smell. When the content of ClO2 in the air is more than 10%, it is easy to explode.
Explosions can also occur when exposed to sunlight, high-temperature objects, and organic substances. If there is rust, grease, and many organic particles, they will decompose spontaneously even under the safety system and concentration (8%~12%).
Chlorine dioxide has a pungent odor and has a strong corrosive effect on human eyes, nose, throat and respiratory tract. When the concentration of ClO2 in the air is 14 mg/L, it can be detected, and when the concentration is 45 mg/L, it can obviously stimulate the respiratory tract.
Chlorine dioxide is relatively stable in aqueous solution, almost all of which exist in the form of monomer free radicals.
Germicidal mechanism
Chlorine dioxide reacts with proteins in bacteria and other microbial cells in an oxidation-reduction reaction, causing its decomposition and destruction, thus controlling microbial protein synthesis, and ultimately leading to bacterial death.

Working condition application
In the circulating cooling water system, bacteria, fungi, algae and other microorganisms use the nutrients in the water to multiply, and the mucus produced by these microorganisms and the sediment, inorganic matter and dust in the water to form biological slime attached to the surface of the heat exchange system, which not only reduces the heat exchange efficiency of the heat exchanger, but also causes local corrosion, blockage and other adverse problems of equipment and pipes, and even causes pipe perforation and equipment damage. Therefore, bactericide must be added to the circulating cooling water to control the growth of microorganisms.
In the alkaline environment of cooling water, it is safer, more effective and more economical to use Shuanghao brand chlorine dioxide generator for treatment. The bactericidal effect of chlorine dioxide is less affected by the PH value of water, and it can maintain stable sterilization and algae removal in a wide range of PH values. At the same time, chlorine dioxide has the advantages of sterilization, rapid algae removal, long decay period in water, long efficacy, no drug resistance, and chlorine dioxide does not react with water quality stabilizers such as organic phosphorus, which has no effect on corrosion and scale inhibition. 5. The inlet back-pressure valve controls the constant back-pressure to ensure the feed metering accuracy and prevent the liquid medicine from flowing or forming siphon.
6. Prepare a compound disinfectant with ClO2 content greater than 70% according to available chlorine.

matters needing attention
This product is applicable to water treatment sites under normal pressure (or micro positive pressure) dosing conditions.
Users need to provide on-site power source, power supply (~380V/220V), drainage ditch, and low level ventilation facilities.
In special cases, the diameter of the disinfectant dosing pipe must be selected according to the site conditions (pipeline back pressure, etc.).
