Product introduction
The activated carbon filter can adsorb the residual chlorine that cannot be removed in the previous stage of filtration to prevent the subsequent reverse osmosis membrane from being oxidized and degraded by it, and also adsorb the small molecular organics and other polluting substances leaked from the previous stage, which has obvious adsorption and removal effect on odor, colloid and pigment, heavy metal ions, COD, etc. in the water. SDI value of inlet water can be further reduced.

working principle
The activated carbon adsorption filter uses activated carbon as the medium, and uses its own adsorption and decolorization capabilities to remove impurities in the liquid, so that the water quality can be purified.
Due to its well-developed microporous structure and huge specific surface area, activated carbon has a strong adsorption capacity for dissolved organics in water, such as benzene, phenolic compounds, etc., and has a good removal effect for organic pollutants that are difficult to remove by biological and chemical methods, such as chroma, odor, surfactant, synthetic detergent and dye. After passing through the activated carbon filter bed, the suspended solids in the water are less than 0.1mg/L, the COD removal rate is generally 40%~50%, and the free chlorine is less than 0.1mg/L.

matters needing attention
1. When the system is operated for the first time or after long-term shutdown, the filter material shall be washed until the water is clear. At the same time, exhaust the equipment: open the exhaust valve, water inlet valve, and then water inlet until there is no air in the outlet of the exhaust valve (some small filters do not have separate exhaust valves, but can use the outlet for exhaust).
2. The activated carbon filter uses the produced water of the filter for backwashing, and the backwashing intensity is controlled at 10 ~ 15 L/s · m2.
3. During equipment backwashing, the backwashing intensity shall be controlled to prevent filter material from leaking out of the equipment.
4. According to the quality of the incoming water, the filter material should be replaced regularly, usually once every 2-3 years.
