Multi effect evaporation is a system that connects multiple evaporators. The fresh steam enters the first effect as the heat source, and the generated secondary steam is used as the heating steam of the second effect, that is, the heater of the second effect becomes the condenser of the secondary steam of the first effect, and so on. Only the second steam of the last effect is condensed by cooling medium. So far, the latent heat of steam can be reused in the multi effect evaporator. It can significantly reduce the consumption of fresh steam and cooling medium. Therefore, the multi effect evaporator greatly reduces energy consumption and improves thermal efficiency. According to the flow direction of secondary steam and solution, the multi effect evaporation process can be divided into: concurrent flow process, countercurrent flow process and advection flow process.
